Lanka Truth has reported the Drug Regulatory Authority has directed that 25,000 phials containing ‘Feroxine’ antibiotic injection that belong to the same batch of the phial that was found from Ratnapura Hospital recently with a piece of glass are not suitable to be used and NationalMedicinal Drug Authority(NMDA) took measures yesterday (22^nd) to remove them from hospitals throughout the island.

 

The value of the stock of injections that are to be removed from being used is Rs.2250,000.00.
