March 26, 2009Daily Mirror has reported Colombo Additional Magistrate Ravindra Premaratne yesterday imposed a fine of Rs.1500 and sentenced to one year’s simple imprisonment suspended for a 3 years a former Magistrate Nirupamala Tikiri Kumari Sannasgala for issuing cheques amounting to Rs.600,000 without funds in her account.
